Hi guys, just got a mail to attend an orientation program: Canadian orientation abroad. Anyone got this mail too? Or has anyone attended before. What's it about?? And is it compulsory to attend, cos it was stated in the invite that it's for selected ppl only..

I got same with my PPR and I applied for the orientation since it is for free. I however declined their invite for September 10, 2015 since I wont be available. They may schedule me for October or November anyways.
It is not compulsory to attend but I suppose it is going to be a good one if you are chanced to attend.
My guyman of life, am counting down to your PPR mail.
It will end in praise...

Got the same mail shortly after my medical forms dropped last week. I made a reservation but the August and September dates are not convenient for me. You can always apply for a latter date before your departure from Nigeria if you are interested.

Do a case specific enquiry to CIC - Accra. make sure you attach the scanned copies of the coy's invitation letter for the said program, a copy of the booked accommodation and the agenda of the program you will be attending. Ensure you put your contact details - telephone. And write a compassionate appeal in your statements while completing your case specific enquiry.
Be ready to fly down to Accra DHL Ghana - once you are told to come and kick up your passport. I got my passport back within 2 hours after arriving DHL Accra. DHL officials picked up my passport for me. You must make sure you return your passport back to CIC Accra on your return from your coy's trip 'AQAP'

Thanks once again for your comments on my request on how to retrieve my passport from AVO. I just got a pick up mail this morning from AVO and my status on ECAS has changed to decision made.

Cos I need the passport for a travel on Wednesday morning and DHL Nigeria cannot guarantee that I will get the Paspport in Abuja by Tuesday, I now have to travel to Accra on Sunday so that I can pick-up through DHL Accra on Monday and return to Abuja on Tuesday to make my other trip on Wednesday.

Can you please give me the details and contacts of the particular DHL Accra ffice you used in picking the passport.

Congrats On your pick up mail, now that you have to travel to Accra to pick up the passport yourself won't you be needing a valid Ecowas passport to get into Ghana?
