Thank you estty. I didn't get to see this thread early enough. But when I found it, I just couldn't let go. It has really helped endure the "waiting pain". Always feels better to know you are not alone.

Please has any one ever used pre-paid return UPS courier to receive his or her passport from Accra visa office back to UK?

Please i need this information for a friend that decision has been made on his application since Tuesday 23rd of June and no email of passport pick, though he put UPS pre-paid envelope inside his envelope when sending his passport.

He has been tracking the return envelope since with no record and no email of pick up from the visa office

Please if you have used pre-paid envelope before do let me know how long it take them to finally send d passport back to you after the decision made

When the return envelope is successfully utilized,the local visa office will(99% of times) not send a pick-up mail to such applicant since its absolutely not necessary.The main reason for the pick-up mail is to advice you to contact your designated courier service to pick you package back to you after authorizing them.
In sending UPS return (if done appropriately),you have already authorized UPS to deliever your passports and pick it after it is ready.In this case,the pick up mail is sent to your designated courier service to come and pick it from the local visa office so it will go through the same route that your passports was delivered.
ACCRA VISA OFFICE sent Passport request to your friend-------UK UPS-------ACCRA UPS---------ACCRA VISA OFFICE FACILITY
ACCRA VISA OFFICE sent pick-up mail to ACCRA UPS------------UK UPS---------Your friend.
Your friend will be contacted by UK UPS to come and pick his package or they may deliver it.
Let him confirm from UK UPS first...after which Accra UPS can be contacted.
If the tracking isn't active yet,Accra Visa office may yet to pick it up from Accra visa office facility......its just 3 days after decision made....i will advice your friend to relax and be calm.
