Hello patient people,

Praise the Lord!!!

Great news!!!

This is to inform the house that MER notification and forms for all members of the family arrived today @ 10:34am and 10:36am respectively, with request for the following:

- Medical examination for the entire family. Medical forms will be sent to you via email tomorrow - already received.
- Right of Permanent Residence Fee for you and your spouse.
- Police clearance certificates for you and your spouse from Nigeria
- Hospital birth certificate for your oldest child as well as family photos taken with this child since the time he was born until the present.

One of my boys is in boarding house and his school will be vacating sometime in July - which is more than the 30 days given for the medicals from today. What should I do?

Depending on the appointment date I get from the approved panel physician, should I visit his school (which is outside Lagos) to fetch him for the medicals?

This may even prove difficult, as the school hardly allows parents to take away their children from school, except under medical/life-threatening situations or other terminal situations such as if you are withdrawing your child from school.

Can I apply for extension to the AVO to sometime in August 2015 and can anyone in the house with experience in this area confirm that AVO typically honours such requests?

Meanwhile, the CIC webpage provided on their website for finding approved panel physicians is not loading (by way of dropdown) the list of countries to enable me select 'Nigeria' to determine the approved panel physicians for the medical exams in Lagos, Nigeria.

Can anyone help? Thank you.

Meanwhile, kindly assist to update the excel sheet.

Regards.

Edionwa

congrats

Dear Friends

I am a July 4th Applicant. It is with pleasure that i announce the arrival of my MR at approximately 12 noon, 15th May 2015. Words cannot express enough how happy i am. When i saw the Golden mail, it felt like dejavu. For a second, i went blank and forgot i was expecting a mail from ACCRAIMMIGRATION @ ......

It all came to me within that same second. I said to myself.... Can this be real? Finally?

I opened the four mails which included the request for Medical Review and payment of RPRF. There were also three attachments of eMedical forms. No POF was requested.

Our God started this journey and will complete it. Just four days ago i was expectant like everyone else but now i am at the last stage.

Happily, I have completed my medicals.

He directed my path and i believe He shall complete it

I can only continue to thank the good Lord for leading me to apply for this FSW.

Thank you Lord......

Congrats!!

Thank you Sambade. I entered into a meeting before I could announce its arrival.

My MR arrived at 10am today, please join me in praising God

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following:

- Medical examination for the entire family. Medical forms will be sent to you via email tomorrow. Received
- Right of Permanent Residence Fee for you and your spouse. Best payment method???
- Updated Police clearance certificates for you and your spouse from Nigeria.
- Letter of reference from current employer Is this common???

Also, my passport will expire n exactly 6 months from today and I want to renew it now. Should I do this before sending my medicals in or after?

Mods, I can't find my entry link so please update for me. Also answers to my questions will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Edionwa,
Congrats on ur medicals.
Though it is feasible to request for an extension of deadline from AVO,I feel you should try to get ur son out for a couple of days to complete the test. July is far and my thought is that most families with children would want to land between July and August so as to fix the kids up in school b4 resumption early September.
I have a similar situation to face when my MR comes and I intend getting my daughter out of school to complete medicals asap.

The page for list of panel physicians seems not to opening for everyone at this time. Definitely, forumites who have done medicals in Lagos will send you addresses soon.

All the best

Congrats Edionwa. The issue at hand is not difficult to solve. First, try book an appointment with the medical centre and when date has been confirmed, print out the email from Accra. Proceed to your child school to fetch him and give reasons why he/she needs to be out of school for few days. If they are in doubt of your plea, then present the email from accra and booking appointment from the medical centre as evidence.

It is better to go on this route than to ask for extension. That is my own view.

Congrats once again.

Child Issue
In my Opinion, Go to the school, with the medical request and and get your child as the medical is a one day affair. You can call now and book for Friday or next week so you have ample time to prepare to get your child for the medicals. I will advise you not to ask for extension as this is the fastest process ever since I have known AVO in the couple of years and remember they are moving fully to express entry and hence the need to sort this issue out asap.
Don’t extend if you really want your visa in another 60days at the latest by God’s grace.

Medicals
call them immediately and book an appointment. Ask for maria, she is the front desk person.. tell her from blue and explain the need to get an appointment asap.also make sure you get there as early as possible(6am) as it take an average of 4 hours to complete the process.Hope you stay around victoria island environs, as this is a certified hospital for Canadian immigration and they have e-medicals too..
