For those who took IELTS test in Lagos:
- how many days before / after your scheduled test date was the speaking test?
- how many days before the speaking test did you get the schedule notice?
- what time did your other tests start on main test day?

Your time and responses are much appreciated.

BabyBal

The speaking test takes place within one week before or after the main test day. You will be personally notified about your speaking test date time and venue at least 7 days before the main test. the three other tests started at 9am in the morning. They often do a preparation for test start between 9.30-10am but you must be there earlier than 9am. they often give warning against lateness. If you miss it you'll have to re-register and pay again.

Thanks a lot pipis husband and oscartan for the response. That is my dilemma, I believe they insist that the name filled in the application should be the same as on the passport.
Yes, PH is correct, I just checked the form again. You should fill the names as it appears on your passport.

Thx much DeeBruv! Appreciate it.
So, when was your own speaking test relative to your scheduled test date? And how many days' notice were you given for it? I'm attempting to poll what typically happens in the Lagos test centre :); thx again!

Hi Everyone, it's good to know we have a dedicated FSW 2014 application forum for Nigeria. I have actually been following the global 2014 forum. I am a 12th May 2014 applicant in NOC 2263 with PER received on 26th August 2014.
I received a mail from CIO on 11th September 2014 that my file has now been transferred to Accra for further assessment/decision. My status is updated on the 2014 global spreadsheet.

I wish everyone the best in their application and hope to do my little two cents towards the success of this forum.

Hi Motivated........Welcome to the forum and thanks for this info. Did you make inquiry from CIO about your file transfer (AOR), before receiving the mail or they sent you the mail without request? I got my PER email on 7th of August, but yet to receive any further communication from CIO.

Thanks

Hello Ussave, I don't think it really matters whether one receives aor or not, so long as you have received your PER, there's no cause for alarm. Your application will definitely be transferred to avo.

Ussave PER is the most important preliminary mail you need from cic as regards your application, aor are sent randomly not everyone gets it. Just use ur UCI for checking ur ECAS status and awaits ur medical coming very soon. Wish u all d best

Hello guys, I need genuine advice, I just realized that I did not put the bar code page on the generic application at the top of my application as instructed, also I stapled some of the forms together as against the instruction not to do so, my application was received @ CIC last week, what would you suggest me to do ? People with experience, kindly advice.......

Hi, if you put the Document Checklist on top of your application, there will be no issue about the bar code pages placed further in. Though we were instructed not to use staples, if there is no other major infraction in your application this use of staples will be ignored. You can rest easy, cheers. :)

Hi Mum T, according to the Document Checklist, acceptable POF is bank account statement, bank balance certificate or fixed deposit certificate. So if the pension you are referring to is part of the funds in a bank account, whether current, savings or time deposit, it will be accepted. But if you mean a person's pension fund account it might not be accepted as it wasn't specified as acceptable to CIC. All the best.
