Good day all,

I'm a fresh applicant and I'm bothered about using nigerian naira master as payment mode; is there anyone out there who has succeeded in using that? or in particular the card from FBN?

You can go ahead and use the Naira credit card, it works.

Happy New Month!

For those of us expecting Medical and others, I would like to share a question i asked on 2013 forum about POF.

Likely reasons why you may be asked to provide updates on POF?

I copied responses from forum members for our perusal!

MAIN REASONS
1. You submitted Assets as proof of funds (CHC will demand standard POF)
2. Your initial PoF is less than the required size
3. Your family size have changed
4. You submitted a bank letter instead of FD or bank statement
5. Your statement was printed like 3months before it gets to CIO in Nova Scotia
6. The VO in charge of your file.

Other Conditions
1.Sudden change in the family composition of applicant and as such the existing POF can't cover the family any more.
2.Sudden large amount in the statement of account used as POF(Account history is inconsistent)
3.Lack of correlation b/w payslips if submitted along with initial application and statement of account.
4.Long waiting period b/w time of application processing and request by VO.
5.The use of joint account could also be another factor.
6.Any other reasons best known to the officer handling your case.

How to Beat this?
1. Submitted FD or bank statement printed the very week or day you submit to CIO
2. Make sure your POF overshoots by atleast 1500dollars
3. Update your POF with Accra before MR is sent
4. Do not use asset as POF

1. You submitted Assets as proof of funds (CHC will demand standard POF)

How to Beat this?
Avoid all 10 Above and pray God for favour of good VO

Good luck to everyone of us. and its my prayer that we will hear that good news this month of December in Jesus name

Forumites good day,

Pls help. 2 friends of mine have refused to apply because their university degree does not match their years of experience ( which is listed among the 50 NOC codes for FSW 2014. They are insisting that they saw it on CIC website that university degree must match job experience. Pls are they right?

Welcome on board Estty. If I were in your shoes, I'll raise a draft. Since it has been confirmed that Fsw ends in December, it is better to give one's application the best shot. Better to go for a sure means... If you need help raising the draft, let us know.

I also think that all December applicants should get a 2nd eye review on their applications. The consciousness of the deadline may give room to errors.

All the best

Hi, please tell your friends they are very wrong. Educational qualifications does not have to match. All we are required to do is get our educational qualifications evaluated and get an employer reference letter as evidence of our work experience, no matching required :)

Nope...they are wrong.
For this current FSW,your academic qualification doesn't have to match your profession.
Your academic qualification is just to accumulate points towards 67 points and not a determinant factor with reference to your interested NOC.
Once you have documented experience in your interested NOC which can be supported by your experience letter and you have been able to accumulate 67 points and above, you are good to go regardless of your academic qualification.
Tell your friends they are WRONG and if they ask for a proof from you,let them contact me so that I can show them my academic degree qualification and my experience letter.
Cheers.
