I have been very quiet but have gained a lot from this forum. More out of shyness.
First I will like to thank God for his faithfulness and for his goodness in all things. I will like to thank Pipi's husband for starting this forum and even though he has landed he is always here for all of us proffering advise. Thank you very much. My thanks go to all the contributors who are too many to mention but who selflessly gave advises and offered one thing or the other. God bless you all. You will always find help in time of need. Before you ask God will raise helpers to help you. Of course for the humor and keeping it real I need to thank guyman. Thanks Neyobash, thanks thorndike. Thanks everyone you know yourselves. And as for those waiting for MR updates or PPR the Lord who started this good thing will perfect it. Someone earlier said delay is not denial. I believe this. Shouts of joy will be heard in your camps. And when we get to Canada it will be well with us all. We will do exploits. We will not regret taking this bold step. We will be blessed and we will be sources of blessings to everyone who meet us. Our hopes will not be truncated. The best has not yet started for all of us. We will not die young. This is my situation. My wife is three months pregnant, We have since done our medicals Oct 2015 and are actually awaiting PPR mail. Do I have to inform AVO that she is 3 months pregnant and send addition POF due to my unborn? Just very confused at this stage. Thanks in advance for your support.

You should not be confused. The prayer is that your PPR should arrive as soon as possible. Even your PPR can land this week.

Experienced forum members will lend their voices to this and provide the best way forward.

To the glory of God our Father, the PPR mail dropped on Thursday. This platform really provided guidance and directions throughout the various stages. Although I have not been active on the blog, we want to say thank you to everyone for your selflessness.

Timeline: Application submitted in November 2014
PER- February 2014
Medicals- August
PPR March 2015


We urgently need your kind guidance on the under-listed issues as we were requested to update some forms (IMM5669; IMM5406)
1. My wife as the primary applicant changed her maiden name (which was on on the initial application/international passport submitted to AVO) to my surname (which now reflects on her new international passport). AVO was duly informed of these changes. Question: Are we to reflect the new name on the forms we were requested to update?

2. A section of the Background Declaration form (IMM) which requested to know if we were ever denied visiting visa to Canada or any country was misconstrued. Question: Should we update this section to reflect these additions without any negative implication.

Hi TENMEN, firstly congratulations to you guys on the soon to arrive baby TENMEN. I do not think it is necessary to inform AVO now, as you will be asked to state any changes to your family composition when you receive your PPR, that is assuming your PPR does not show until it is very close to your wife's EDD. If it arrives this month just go ahead and send your passports and collect your CoPR and PRV and land at least 2 months to her EDD and have your CANADIAN BABY

I have been a silent follower of this forum and I must say that I have gained immersely from the forum.
Firstly, I will like to thank God for making our FSW journey problem-free. I would also like to thank everyone on the forum for the contribution, advice and support provided on the forum. God bless us all on this Canada journey.

We received our PPR at about 10.00 a.m on March 24, 2016, a day I decided not to check my email until around 11 p.m, unlike how I used to refresh my email every other hour everyday.

Below is our timeline:

Application received: Nov 18, 2014
PER: Feb 9, 2015
MR, UK and Nigeria PCC, RPRF request: August 18,2015
MR Done: September 8, 2015
PPR: Nov 24, 2016
Passports Sent: March 29,2016

I pray the news of joy will continue and go around in the forum.

Dear All,

I have picked up our Visas +CoPR today from UPS. (our visas had been issued since the 23rd of Feb and got DM on 26th but we did not get pick up mail until 23rd March)

Thanks for the numerous words of encouragement from everyone here.

Neyobash, thanks for the help from UPS. Got VVIP service from the center here in Gbagada.

It will end in praise for us all.

For those waiting for MRs and PPRs, the flood gates will open and there will be a great out pouring.

Based on the situation shared by others on the forum, it is safe to inform AVO now that your wife is currently expecting and you would like to have the baby in Canada once their processing is concluded. (this is just a way to get them to speed their work on your file. It may work, it may not )

While awaiting their response, begin to work on increasing your POF (this is just a precaution, if they speed up the issuance of your COPRs there will be no need for extra POF funds). Their response/next communication to you will determine your next move.

Congrats to the flood gates of positive response from AVO! Hmmmm, how time flies. some few months ago, the updates were competing with snail for the slowest speed. paucity of response from AVO with a deafening silence that led many to propound theories that were either supported or countered. Patience was distributed like fresh air and chill pill was the prescription we all had to abide by. Faith wanes, hopes were blurred and men were stretched to break point nevertheless elasticity and tensile character shone brightly.

Now here we are today, the 'horror' movie of the then present is now today's 'comic' movie. it indeed doubtless ends in praise.




For our brethren awaiting one update or the other, fasten your seat belt for the aura of good tidings is here and without doubt its knocking on your door. Your testimony is NEXT!!!!!!!

Magnify the Lord with me. We received our passport with visas and COPR today 30th March 2016. Our visas were issued on 17th of March 2016.
