Can they verify if the funds is still in my account? do i have to keep the funds in the account until they verify?

Hi, we have been advocating ever since that applicants should maintain their POF in their accounts from the day they submit application till the the day they receive the PR visa. This is to avoid the heartache of returned application due to AVO not being convinced that an applicant has the required financial capacity. Rather than trying to 'guess' wether your bank will expose you or not, it is better to leave the money jeje.

SENOIRS, please i was unemployed between Jan 2012 till Dec 2012, Is it going to affect my chances? I have more than 6 years experience in my relevant NOC within the last 10 years though. please urgent response would be appreciated

Hi, welcome on board. You can send me a PM - private message by going to the top right corner of this page, click on INBOX and then click on 'New message' on the left hand side of the page. Type your question, enter my name in the "TO" field and send. Cheers :)

Hi, it will not affect your chances at all as CIO focuses on the period of employment during the last 10 years and with your over 6 years experience which you should back up with employer reference letters, you have scaled that requirement :).

No issues with unemployment period provided your 6 years experience is within the last 10 years....your maximum points of 15 is assured.
Cheers.

Pips husband, kollins and ksa please I need your advice. I submitted my application early this month but for form IMM 5406 my wife and I filled on each with my own brothers and sister on mine while she also fill his own with family member and we both signed it. But where they put applicant I put my name for both form while she was spouse in both. I hope this will not affect my application.

Unfortunately on your form filled by your wife, she was supposed to enter her name in the principal applicant field and you as the spouse, this is so that they are sure whose family members are detailed in the relatives section of the form, though I don't think that may be a cause for too much worry, but Kollins and Pipis Husband can throw more light on this for you.

Hi, don't be alarmed. This is a common problem faced by many applicants worldwide, and CIO is aware the error occurs. I am amazed they have still not redesigned that portion of the form to avert further error. But not to worry, it has never been a reason for rejection of application. You can tell your friends that both you and Pipis Husband made the same mistake and both of us still scaled through. :)

Cheers :)
