Dear Forumites,
Kindly advise on how to source for dollar for pof for landing. Gtbank said they have stopped selling PTA for now and I don't know of any other bank that does this.
The bank also said I must present return ticket, and I only want to use one way
Pls anyway out.

GTBank stopped PTA a long time ago. You can use your card abroad but it's subject to the 300 dollars cap per day and the exchange rates and charges aren't friendly. If you have other bank accounts, ask them if they do. I know standard chartered has started again but it's subject to approval so your PTA request may not be granted. Best bet is to buy from someone that has a dollar account and needs naira. Just try and verify the dollars aren't fake before giving the person the naira equivalent.

You also can't buy more than 4000 dollars or it's equivalent in another currency which I believe is less than required for POF so just look for an alternative market.

PTA is just 1%charge on the amount to be collected.

Plus COT on it. Do your calculation. Also with the new CBN laws now am not sure most banks give PTA cos dey will ask you to use your atm card.
