Departed PH Nigeria Monday 7th Sept @ abt 2100 hrs aboard Air France. Landed Toronto @ abt 1600 hrs on Tuesday 8th Sept.
Spent about 2 hrs at the airport for landing formalities largely due to the time spent with immigration processing PR application and Service Canada processing SIN.
Declared cash in excess of $10k and also possession of dried fish. No issues with those. Only got asked the quantity of the dried fish to ensure it wasn't commercial quantity.
No list of accompanying items asked. Only asked if more items would be coming unaccompanied. Told them I would come in with whatever we had left later, and the list as not required any longer.
Took the children for school/class placement assessments yesterday (already booked appointment b4 leaving naija). All went well. Only waiting for us to bring house lease agreement/address to place them in schools.
Bank accounts opened/activated with TD with credit card applications submitted.
House search/inspections continue today.
Been a wonderful experience thus far, though stressful.
If anyone has any questions, pls send PM's as I may not follow the thread on the forum so closely.
It will end in praise for everyone.

Highlyfavoured1,Please drop your timeline at least to encourage others. These are the little things that add value to this forum.Asking questions only when there seem to be a challenge is not good enough.Highlyfavoured1 said:Good morning Seniors,
Thanks for all your openness and willingness to assist all with one concerns or the other. I Pray it will end in praise for everyone of us Amen.
I have been in a bit of dilemma here, kindly help clear my doubts, I received MR on July 30th and did my medicals August 6. over a month ago now, but on ecas no TLU has been received or mail to confirm they received my MR. I called Qlife they confirmed it has been sent to them. im just wondering if this is normal or if I need to contact AVO, as I didn't receive any confirmation mail from them for receipt. I just thought they will contact me for PPR but after waiting over a period of 1month I'm beginning to worry a bit about this.
Your candid advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanking you in anticipation for your valued response. Godbless

@Dotsngr,Well said. Many thanks.Dotsngr said:Hmmmm, preggy , preggy things. We have discussed this far n wide, up n down. But will use my own research. Oh yes, I am preggy, oh yes I hv done my MR. What made me do it? From write ups even from baby centres, I was informed that the radiation isnt dt much dt can harm a baby. Secondly, the hospital I used gave me a very thick packed shield, that I used, thirdly my girlfriend who had a higher risk preggy did it n her baby had no issues and fourthly I made up my mind to do it n I signed the risk form given to me by the hospital with open eye.
D question: if ure pregnant, will you hv the risk appetite to boldly go n do MR? It is a personal decision.
Nice! Solid!!MARIS said:Infact My colleague at work who is a late Nov applicant also received his today. I am sure members will soon experience MR rain IJN.
