Lots of Medical request...ECAS Update with third line addition from the neighboring NDVO--- everyday's very frequent news on the main forum... even after this new year.

We, SGVO guys r still waiting for the 2nd line addition on ECAS...r they still on holiday..??.. ...frustrating . NDVO is working with full pace even on Christmas...

Can anyone from Singapore say how long they celebrate the Chinese New Year, officially it seems Jan 31 and Feb 1 but I know for certain that in Malaysia almost 12-14 days the celebration or its preparation goes on and often many local Chinese takes vacation in these times .. so wanted to know how its like in SG, as I suspect SGVO must have locally employed staffs ....

I don't think that because of holidays things are not moving. They simply don't care to increase the work pace. May be they don't have any target to fulfill. If they process your application even 2015 they are not loosing anything. We're unlucky that our applications are on bunch of lazy hands.

Do one thing. Stop visiting the main thread. Then you will never know that NDVO is moving in light-speed. Visit this thread only and you'll feel comfortable to know that nothing is moving..

Well, AFAIK, there's a ministerial instruction to complete all FSWP 2013 application within 12 months... !

One of the LVO applicant emailed to Minister for the delay of processing, he got a response from the minster yesterday as per below:

hey members,just to share something with u people. I had sent an email to the minister to change my VO from LVO to Paris, received a reply today

Dear XXXXXXXXXXX



Thank you for your email of November 17, 2013, addressed to Mr. Chris Alexander, Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister, concerning your application for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. I apologize for the delayed response.

Please be assured that Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews all applications objectively and consistently to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all applicants. We assess each application on its own merit against the program requirements.

We realize that those who have submitted their applications look forward to a decision being rendered within a reasonable waiting period after applying. We make every effort to deal with the applications we receive in the most efficient and effective way. However, the many steps involved in processing an application, coupled with the volume of applications, sometimes make it difficult to conclude cases in as timely a manner as we would like.


Our records confirm that your application was received in September 2013 at the Canadian High Commission in London, where it is currently in queue to be reviewed by an officer. Please rest assured that you will be contacted should additional information, documentation, or a personal interview be required.

if this is the reply given than in our case the reply will b similar mentioning about 28 month processing time as normal....however this is not i expected and thought that it wud be a year only this time to process applications........don't know what they are upto!!!!

Mr. Minister NDVO processing time is 22 months. Then how their applications are being processed within 6/7 months. Please admit that bunch of lazy officers works at SVO those who are very much dedicated to keep the promise time mentioned in the website.
