Here is some reality of an applicant from LVO worths to be share:
what about my case. applied july, 2013, PER received 24th sep, 2013.

2nd line added to ECAS, we started processing your application 21st jan, 2014

28th Jan, updated schedule A and IMM5406 forms along with marriage certificate were asked.

CSE reply : February 2014, Lengthy Background checks are in progress with your application which may take a minimum of 6-months.

2nd CSE reply: June 2014, Your file is awaiting officer review, we will contact you as soon as we are able to.


Now tell me, BG checks are over for me and what kind of review this is going to be. till today i havent heard from them.

P.S in my GCMS notes interview is waived and eligibility and selection is cleared.

Do you have any idea how long SGVO will remain close for xmas and new year? If i send any courier during their holiday, how they will treat my package?

As per SGVO site, they have only two vacation on Dec.....Although Visa officers goes for a longer vacation which may be consumed from their annual leaves....

December 25 Christmas Day
December 26 Boxing Day

And dont worry for the packages u will send...They will receive it safely .....and it will not make any delay...except for those two days..

To all who got second line update.
I don't know actually what is happening. At first when I saw the second line it was a sign of relief. But now as the days are passing I m getting more deppressed. If second line means OK then why we r not getting MR . Even applicant of 10 days later then me got PPR.
The second line might emerge as a bad luck for us. Let's pray for each other and don't forget to share any kind of background check done to anyone. Best of luck.

One of my colleague is an applicant from FSW 2014 through a lawyer. He came to know that three 2014 applicant received MR and RPRF request last week. I guess SGVO is trying hard to clear all pending files before starting new system. I believe it would be very difficult to get job when 2013 & 2014 applicant will be rushing together into job market (consider all nationality applicant).

One thing I can remind u, each yr lot of applicants are entering Canada....It was only Singapore/BD applicants whom were in a very little.....due to their pace...

But this yr SG is syncing with other VO's pace.....Thats why lot of SG applicants are getting MR/PPR from BD too....

So this may not only reason for job scarcity that lot of applicants are rushing on CA this yr....

Keep faith on him....Increase ur skills by doing more internationally recognized certifications which may help u to get a job on CA......

How much we can carry CAD equivalent to TK officially/Passport as IMMIGRANT visa holder during departure.

3rd line added on 16th Nov. Until now no passport request. And I checked with the bank that the rprf hasn't been encashed. Hope SGVO won't do any additional BC. Is there anyone that got MR and additional document request before that has got passport request?

These are very uncommon cases whom are requested for additional doc after Medical.....

I dont think u need to think/worry about such cases....Allow them some time to send ur PPR...

All the best and pray for us whom have not heard anything from SG.....

they give me a specific date on 8 DEC 2014.

on that day, they are gonna ask me whether i had criminal history or pending charges. etc

And probably i will be given the COPR to check and sign...

However, the point is my passport is at Singapore now and i havent got it back yet. i am so confused now.
