Why you folks are creating multiple threads
we have
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2013-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t146774.0.html
and its containing all the details than what is the reason to create another thread?

Hi Vats,

I actually prefer having different threads for different interests. The main thread is too big to follow, with it adding 20+ pages per day. Kinda hard to sort through the posts when all you want is an update on the people who already have PER :)

Hi Everyone,
I am new on here so I'll introduce myself first.
Munira here from Mumbai. I applied in the FSW Category under NOC 3142. I received an email from CIC on 23rd July saying that my application has received a positive reply and I will be contacted by my LVO i.e New Delhi shortly. Is the file number or UID the same as PER that everyone is referring to here??
Also I deduced that no one from NDVO have received any kind of intimation regarding the progress with their respective applications. I read somewhere that within 2-4 weeks of getting an email confirmation from CIC our applications reach our LVO. Is that true??
A few of my friends applied last year in the FSW category and they had their visas in hand withing 6-7 months. I guess this year its delayed due to the strike.
All the best to everyone. Looking forward to a continued correspondence with everyone.

Hello,

I have applied through an attorney, how can I check my status through ECAS? I have a GC key login from a previous visit visa application, would that work? Also can you provide me with the link for ECAS?thanks

Yes the thread is the best for fsw-2013 but its a bit messed up with newbies, basic questions, congratulations and evrything else....it has become really very difficult to follow for specific topic...that is the only reason for this thread..

Have your attorney mentioned you regarding getting PER?? If you have already received PER then you should have UCI no. Or you can ask your attorney to provide the UCI no.
If you have not received PER then you should just wait for at least 60-65 days(after your your app received by CIC) to get PER.
You can also go through this FAQ http://fswp2013.wordpress.com/ for your basic knowledge.

what info/forms do you need to send in case of a new born child? I am in the same situation.

This is what I received from my VO:

In order to include your child, please send us:

- forms IMM0008 and IMM5406, updated, including child's information;
- copy of birth certificate;
- photo;
- processing fee.

I recommend you to confirm with your local VO which documents to send (as I'm not sure if it's the same as it is for me).

Cheers!

Thank you very much Samarrs. it was indeed extremely helpful.
i have one more doubt though. its not related to FSW. i cant seem to send PM's on here. Is there some procedure for that?

Hi Everyone,

New to this forum and i must say that exciting news and updates are shared here and so all fsw applicants should be a part of this group. I applied in the 1112- financial analyst category and my application was delivered at the very last days of CIC announcing the quota fulfillment of 300. Don't know what will happen really...... But what i am wondering is that for those of you that have received PER in end of July13 or till mid of Aug13, can i ask around when your applications reached CIC -NS.

Thanks Vats,
I got the info from the spread sheet.
I was asking the other PT's regarding the credential assessment for the Physiotherapy Competancy exam (PCE). That is not the same as WES.
