Hi all,

I have a question, I have applied in July 2014, and a week ago received a bio data page request from the VO. I do require a visa to enter Canada and so I am not sure why they asked for a copy of my bio data and not my passport? My application is been processed by Bucharest VO. I am currently in Canada on a student visa.

I know some have waited longer to reach to this point, but thinking about it has been very exhausting "why they havent asked for my passport already?". I cannot even concentrate on my studies.

I was absent for a very long time...because nothing happened till now. I received my MR on 15.12.2014. Since 09.01.2015 my ECAS is:
1-We received your application for permanent residence on June 24, 2013.

2-Medical results have been received.

And nothing till now...
could someone advise me why it takes so long time to get the golden email?

After medicals I have received an email requesting a bio data page. Sent it and now waiting. Have you got this or not yet? If not, I think you are in the security check phase which takes a while depending on your case, as this is not a standard procedure. You should be ok though.

is it a must to recieve a requrest of bio pages of passport before getting ppr ? from what i understood this dosent happen with everybody ?

could anybody confirm the statment mentioned by the member ( loom)

well now some ppl get it before med request like us , and some later , while othhers do not get the request at all .

No i did not receive anything...
And what a bio data page...?
i submitted a copy of mine and kids passports in our app to Sydney CIO in 2013...
I am Polish but my visa office was Amman cause i lived there. We have biometric passports with kids.
I am divorced and my divorce happend in 2014 during the process. But i submitted all required docs.

No i did not receive anything...

i submitted a copy of mine and kids passports in our app to Sydney CIO in 2013...
I am Polish but my visa office was Amman cause i lived there. We have biometric passports with kids.
I am divorced and my divorce happend in 2014 during the process. But i submitted all required docs.

the bio page is the first page in the passport where ur photo and data are placed.

Dear All,

I just want to briefly talk about my experience in the Amman VO for passport stamping as I researched here and I know it’s not talked about much.

I was living in Abu Dhabi and I received my PPR email a few days before I left AD so I couldn’t submit my passport there anymore. Long story short, I returned to my home country in Jordan and waited until Ottawa replied to my email to change my VO. The 30 days were almost up so I couldn’t wait anymore, 7amalt 7ali w I went straight to the VO in Amman with my original PPR email from AD and they didn’t mind at all. I submitted my passport on Monday morning, 16/07, and got a call that my passport is ready for collection in 3 days, on Thursday 19/07!

After I submitted my passport, I went back home and found that Ottawa had replied to me and extended my passport submission in Amman anyway. But at that point it didn’t matter.

So for those waiting for a reply, for the final decision, for anything, just be patient! And surprisingly, the Amman office were super friendly and everything was super smooth and fast there!

How do you know that your office is Amman VO? might be another office.
