Hello everyone.. I hope that you are all doing well..

I submitted my refugee claim in 2022

My case is still pending the completion of the front-end security screening (more than 36 months since it was referred to IRB).


Are there refugee claimants like me whose cases are stuck pending

Is there anything that I can do to get the front-end security screening to be completed?

Should I continue to call IRB on a weekly basis?
Should I continue to send a webform to IRCC like on a monthly basis?

Can I contact CBSA or any other security-related organization to try to get an update?

Please advise.

Sorry it has taken so long, 3 years is way too long.

I believe that given it is taking more time than their 'standard processing time' you can call IRCC and request that they flag it and send a message to your processing officer, perhaps you can do the same with IRB but I am not sure. I also think you can also approach your MP to advocate on your behalf.
