If changing status from worker to PR and do an outland air landing to get the PR status, do I still need to apply a new SIN on the day of landing or the same SIN on my worker permit would still apply? Many thx

Is there an expiry date on your SIN? Or if your SIN starts with a 9, then yes

Yes it starts with 9 and my work visa also expired alr.

So when I land, do I need to tell them about the past SIN number or just proceed to get a new SIN after stamped as PR?

Tell Service Canada and show them the stamped as PR.
