Frenz,

One of the forum members informed me that as per most recent regulations, IMM5444E form "Application for Permanent Residence" is not required while landing. This is because, now-a-days the COPR comes with the photo attached on the front sheet.

Could you please reaffirm that this is true?

I am planning to land soon and want to know this information asap.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Kummy

Correct, you don't need to fill out the IMM5444E form. The immigration officer at the point of entry will order it for you when you confirm you're now settling in Canada and your provide them an address for them to mail the PR card to. No extra photo is required.

Thanks Mr. GOGOGO...

Appreciate your help.

do anyone know informations about the new form for landing i heard that it delay the sin number and the PR issue ?

You get your PR status the day you complete your landing formalities at any Canadian Port of entry. You get your SIN number the day you apply for it after landing. The SIN card takes a week or so to arrive by mail. The current processing time for PR card to arrive by mail is 38 WORKING DAYS.

Which form would delay these processes....?
