Hi Guys,

Please I got two question and would appropriate any inputs.

1. I am a British citizen and am trying to decide if I should do an outland or inland application. How long is my application likely to take as outland from beggining to the end?

2. Am a bit confused with this part of the application. Do I have to include a Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form for my sponsor as well as per the instruction below.

Thanks in advance

Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)

Who must fill out this application form?

This form must be completed by:

you, the principal applicant;
your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
your dependent children aged 18 years or older (whether accompanying you to Canada or not).

For the purpose of the application, your sponsor is not a family member. So if it says all family members must complete this form, it does not include the sponsor. The forms are generic, so they include situations where you might be sponsoring someone who has a spouse (your parents for example).

If there is no extreme reason for you to have to apply inland, you should apply outland. It is much much faster, and being that you are British you can visit your spouse anytime during the application process anyway. Check the specific threads for your visa office for an idea of the timeline. I'm sure its under a year, and inland can be upwards of 2 years.

Thanks you guys a lot for your inputs. Really appreciate it
