On Form IMM 5562 "Your travels", it says to list every time the sponsored person has left their country, and put dates/#of days gone, etc.
My husband travels every month for work, does he really have to put down every single trip down?? He's on his 3rd passport (since his last 2 are full, and they aren't small like our CDN ones, they have 20+ pages more than ours do). Anyone have any ideas on this?? Thanks in advance :) :D

I would suggest to create a word document and list every single trip and attach the additional sheet to the form. It is better to give complete information and all the places he has been. As much as it may be time consuming, you will have peace of mind knowing you gave all the information, no second guessing there :)

My spouse is from middle east and the file is sent to Ankara. They asked us for IMM 5562 for travel history. We sent travel history with application in the IMM3911 (which is extra documents for middle east). Any idea why they are aksing us to fill this form now?

Just in case you don't know - as I didn't - 5562 only has to be completed if you are submitting your application to the Canadian visa office in Paris.

For applicants from Western Europe, only those going through Paris have to fill out the travel form.

For applicants using the African guide, only those going through Rabat have to fill out the Supplementary Information Your Travels form.

Applicants from the Middle East and Central Asia have to fill out the Supplementary Information Your Travels form.

If they specifically ask for a form, just fill it out and send it in. The format of the forms with the African and Middle East and Central Asian guides are not the same as the format of IMM5562.

Our application requires this form. I CANNOT find my old passport. So I've listed all my trips based on pics I looked at and memory.

What to do?! aya

Do you best, I used things like emails and bank/credit card charges to figure out where we were, when. Just make sure the dates overlap/match up (no gaps)

Hi. i know this thread has been silent for a while but i was just asked to fill the travel history form (IMM5562).
It says "List all trips taken outside your country of origin or country of residence in the last 10 years".
So my question is, i studied in the Philippines for a number of years as a student (Student Visa) so is that considered a residency status (Thereby not needed to be entered in the travel history form) or a trip which needs to be entered ?

Naveedali,

How did you merge the CIC PDF document with yours? In my case, I cant. Because, CIC document is password protected and it is impossible to merge it with additional documents.

You will need to print and scan the form and do it that way.

Country of residence = the country you are currently living in, if different from your country of origin.

Late reply, but will put it in for future reference:

If you were a resident of the Philippines for X years, you will not include every trip to Philippines in the travel history, but include every trip out of Philippines to any 3rd country.

You will list the entire duration of your stay in Philippines as a single activity in the "Personal Activity" section that basically implies you were a resident of Philippines and there as a student during the overall period

Hello, I have the same issue - my country of origin is Philippines - and I worked in Dubai for 5 years (previous country of residence), now I am currently residing in Canada. I have declared all my in and out from these Country under "Personal activity", and only declare the leisure activities from other countries in Travel history. Will that be okay?
