For the sponsor to answer this question:

does the sponsor have to list all the addresses where they have had, i.e., ever since they were born

or only after their becoming a Canadian resident?

I think CIC is more concerned with any country after the age of 18 and longer than 6 months. That is what they ask for the applicant with regards to criminal records.

Just a guess though...I only had one other country to write on mine. I would suggest writing everything though, sure it might be a bit of a hassle, but better safe then sorry.
