Was looking for some clarification on foreign work experience.

I was working in the UK from 2004-2008 continuously as an accountant. I have since been working as an accountant, but have regularly took time off to go travelling and therefore was doing other minor jobs (admin etc..). I was reading on the CIC website that the work has to be continuous, which would meet the criteria. However, it says "within the last 10 years". Therefore I am presuming that I could only count June 2005 until June 2008 within this experience? The biggest irony of this whole thing is that I actually stopped working in that job June 25th. Does that mean I will only have the points for 3 years of foreign work experience until June 25th 2015? I have worked as an accountant since, but was only for 5 months in Australia (therefore it wasn't continuous).

I have also worked in Canada for 2 years now (1 year on co-op work permit, 8 months on off campus work permit and then 4 months on post graduate work permit). Even though its a work permit, I think this doesn't count because I also had a study permit at the time. What confuses me about this item is: "paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count)". These were fully paid internships and I had a valid work permit for all of them. Alongside my study permit.

Just wanted to add. I found these statements on the CIC website:

To be considered under the Canadian Experience Class:

"You cannot count work experience you gained while enrolled as a full-time student. Your work experience must have been gained while on a valid work permit, such as the Post-Graduation Work Permit.

You must have gained the equivalent amount of experience as someone who worked full-time for at least one year (1,560 hours) in the three years before you submit your Express Entry profile.

To be considered under the Federal Skilled Worker Program:

Your work experience must have been full-time (or the equivalent in part-time hours), worked continuously and paid, for at least one year in the same occupation."

It doesn't mention the same requirement for the Federal skilled worker visa? Not sure they are taking into consideration the fact that they used to issue valid work permits for students (OCWP and Co-op work permit). Am struggling to find a statement anywhere that states you cannot use work on the OCWP to support your Canadian work experience under the FSWP (I am talking about summer experience now). In total including my two summers and work experience on the PGWP I would have a year total in Canada.

You are eligible to open a profile as you have enough for FSWP, but you won't get points for Canadian work experience under Express Entry because that experience was obtained during studies.
