Hi all

Apologies if this subject has been mentioned already.

I've been granted an ITA for PR under FSW and just wanted to clarify the experience regarding the 3+ year rule for foreign work experience. My current understanding is;

a- as long as the NOC job role amounts to 3 or more years in total it doesn't have to be continuous (as long as accumulated in last 10 years)
b- have had a different job (i.e. NOC classs) in between, as long as the NOC you are claiming is over 3+ years.

To elaborate, here is my circumstance;

Job 1: Aug 12-Sept 13 (1 yr 1 month) - NOC 2171 skill A
Job 2: Sept 13-Sept 14 (1 yr) - NOC 2171 skill A
1 month unemployment gap
Job 3: Nov 14-Feb 15 (4 months) - NOC 1221 skill B
Job 4: Feb 15 - present (2+ yrs) NOC 2171 skill A

I am obviously claiming against NOC 2171, which the experience is over 4 years. I just don't want the gap for the other role to count against me.

Please can someone advise? Thanks in advance!

The 4 months work exp. in other NOC code will not have any impact on your application.
Go ahead with your ITA. All the best.
