Hi Guys, I have a small query. I will be claiming points for following jobs.

Company A = 9th July 2014 - 17th July 2014 (9 Days)
Company B = 5th August 2014- 26th May 2017 (1026 Days) This includes 1 Leap Day from 2016 as well.
Company C = 17th July 2017 - 15th Sept 2017 (61 Days)

So, total = 1096 Days = 3 years 1 day ( including an extra day in leap year)
Even if you exclude 1 extra day of leap year it would be exact 1095 Days or 3 years.

And since in EE Profile, system calculates based on months not days.

Company A = July 2014 - July 2014 (0 Months)
Company B = August 2014- May 2017 (34 Months)
Company C = July 2017 - Sept 2017 ( 3 Months)

Total = 37 Months

So i am good to claim point for 3 years of foreign work experience. Right? I am able to proof 3 or more years of foreign work experience by both months and days calculation separately. I hope it will not be considered as misinterpretation in any way.

why is it misrepresentation? have you lied?

Not at all. Everything i have mentioned is 100% correct. I’m just curious if I will have any issue claiming points for 3 or more years of foreign work experience or not?

Thanks @navinball . Any idea how deligently VO calculate work exp duration? Like would they take Leap day into consideration?

Shall I write about the days spent at each job in LOE? Just so it doesn’t gets miscalculated, Considering how tight my work exp duration is.

Hi
What documents we need to provide to CIC to prove foreign work experience please ?

Thanks

It has to be in the same NOC category, if your NOC code is different for any of your job thn u don’t fulfill 3 years requirement. Moreover, CIC counts work experience based on no. of weeks and hours. You need to have 52+52+52=156 weeks of work experience with 30 hrs every week to claim 3 years experience

Did it work? I have the same issue! Exact 3 years just like you (considering start and end dates) and I feel a bit concerned! Your answer will help me very much!
