Hello all,
I live in a country on a Foreign Exchange Control. This makes it almost impossible to acquire dollars or any other currency different than my own. If you are a natural person, it is illegal to buy/sell dollars in the open market. It is illegal for banks to sell dollars, so the black market dollar has a very high price and its very hard to find people risking themselves to sell you $ or €.
A couple of months ago, the government modified the exchange control law making it even worst. Before the modification, you could go to a broker house and buy part of the government debt, which you could sell later in the international market (in dollars). I managed to collect 5000$USD back then, however I still need an additional of 8000$USD for my proof of funds.
Right now I don't know if I am going to make it. I would break the law by buying dollars in black market. I know there are other few countries with this problem, and I would like to know from people who faced or are facing this same issue. Maybe you know someone who had this problem too?
