Hey, check your e-cas status. Mine changed to Decision Made today. Hopefully it's good news, but considering where I am, I won't get the actual passports until the weekend or early next week. Will keep you posted.

the mail from embassy to me like 25 days ago


this file is currently pending final review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as the review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants in case any further documentation or information is required. If the officer is satisfied all requirements have been met, visas will be issued, following which we will return the passports to the applicant by registered mail. Kindly note that it can take several days for registered mail to reach its destination

In whos name (Receiver of canada or canadian high commision) and in which currency INR or CAD should one make the DD to ensure the process to be fast

which is the best possible way ????

Does any one know if the DD is encashed in new delhi or nova scotia ?

I have been following this forum, after I am caught in the climax after sending the PP, medicals and Fees on Dec 11th and received the AOR Dec 17th.

Still keep waiting for updates in ecas (IN PROCESS), response TO inquiries through Fax, email (generic reply not on my case), mail and here.

The level of frustration is steadily raising.

Have few queries

(1) Do they update the status of Ecas only on Tuesdays? (Somewhere I read on other days updates are done)
(2) What if, if there is no update to Ecas in the week, will there be any registered mail or courier to shock the applicants?
(3) Final question, many people mentioned they have received thru Registered mail - the PP with shiny - How long this (Registered mail - I guess this is not Speed post) takes to reach with in India?
(4) Can any folks in the forum confirm CIC is not sending the PP thru courier?

1. All updates, at least for ND, have been on Tuesdays. On the e-cas site too, they have mentioned that it's updated every week, usually Tuesdays.
2. Not sure of that.
3. I'm in Southern India and it reached me on the 5th day, but the sweet thing is I got them the next day I saw the status change 'Decision made' in e-cas. This was the case for someone else too here. Mine, they stamped on 4th Feb, posted on 5th Feb, e-cas changed on 9th Feb, received on 10th Feb. So, more than likely, your passport is on its way now
4. ND sends them through Registered mail only.

4) One thing is for sure, they dont send by courier unless you provided them with a pre paid courier. Its all through registered mail, Indian DAK.

Rest I dont have any clues about. I am also in the same boat as you.

The concern there is no change in ecas status and no replies (specific) to the queries sent.

I submitted my Medical & PP in last week of Nov 09. Still waiting.
I regularly check status on every tuesday. It always show " In proces".
I am very much frustrated.
Can anybody tell me why this delay is being happened to me including
all those who have applied in Nov 09.
