Hi everyone!

I've got a question regarding being able to re-enter Canada as a worker and the express entry.

My boyfriend, from Ireland, applied for a working holiday visa in August 2013 and it expired last year in 2015. He tried to apply for Express Entry so that he could get a PR. To sum up the situation, he was working at an architecture firm (he has a background in Architectural Design) and his boss agreed to sponsoring him. Month prior to his visa ending, she opted out and he had no choice but to move back to Ireland.

With that being said, if he gets offered a job in Canada, can he still apply for Express Entry despite no longer having a work visa?

Thank you,
Nina

He can apply for Express Entry without a job offer. However whether he's selected depends on the number of points he has. To get the extra 600 points for having a job offer and guarantee he will be selected - he not only needs a job offer, he also needs an approved LMIA.
