hi eye doc! can u tell me the name for whom this RPRF draft is to be made?

Dear sharma77,
The RPRF draft is to be made in the name of:-
- RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA - do not make mistake of making in the name of Receiver General Of Canada.
OR
- Canadian High Commission Payable at Delhi.
Best is to go for the second option.

It has to be made for Rs. 19900/- for Main applicant+ Rs.19900/- for spouse + Rs. 19900/ for each member of family more than 22 years old.
It has to be a single draft of Rs. 39800/ for Husband & Wife.
I hope you have the information you wanted.

Hi ,

I have sent my passport to them on 5 aug 09 ( requested by them 20.07.2009 reached me on 04.08.2009).

But the worrying fact is that my medicals will expire on 15 oct 2009.

So only 2.5 months in hand.

Can anyone have any idea how long it will take?

RPRF is only for principal applicant and spouse. No RPRF for dependent children.

Sent passport and RPRF on 14th July 09 to CHC Delhi, received RPRF receipt on 10th August 09. eCas still shows "in process".
Please let me know how many of you received RPRF receipt.

Regards
joy

hi have sent chc delhi a draft of 43992.40 INR that was equevalent to 980 cad on that day. also attached a bank certificate mentioning rate of canadian dollor on that day. was that rt?

Hi Sharma77,

You should send DD for Rs.19,900/- each, then it should be Rs. 39,800/- including for your spouse. I sent Rs.40,000/-, but it was returned asking for the correct amount.

absolutely correct. sharma77 u will have to send the dd again once u receive it back with correct amt.

Consult the Fees section of our Web site or the Guide for Skilled Worker Applicants
to calculate your fees. You must include a bank draft payable to the Canadian High
Commission for the Right of permanent residence fee for yourself and all
accompanying family members. Note that the processing fees are not refundable at
this stage. Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian rupees at the exchange
rate currently in use at the Canadian High Commission. Do not enclose cash. SO NOW PLZ EXPLAIN AFTER REEDING THIS.THE RPRF FEE IS FIXED 19990 OR IT SHD BE 490 CAD EXCHANGE RATE INR?

The fees is CAD490, but when you do the conversion in INR, I believe the local CHC fixes a exchange rate for some duration. for e.g. check the website http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visafees.html, the rate here is not exactly today's exchange rate.

Nothing to worry, just wait until you get your DD is returned and they will give you the correct amount, also you never know they might accept your DD.

I send my RPRF (for self and spouse), passports (for all the family members) and birth certificates of self and spouse on 24/07/09. The documents were recieved at New Delhi visa office on 27/07/09 and the draft is also encashed. still vaiting for reply.

how much amount did u send BS?
