Hello everybody,
I received a strange email from my representative today, I sent him a list of the documents I will be sumbitting, the strange thing is that I am sending an original birth certificate in English, he asked me to copy it and notarize it since this is what is wrote in the checklist, I thought originals would be better since I can get them in English but it seems he has another opinion.

Am i supposed to follow the immigration checklist uo to even this detail !!!!!!!!!!!

And I was about to send my high school certifcate, the final exam from which I was allowed to go to university (we call it here Tawjihi), but he told me that only the post secondary degrees are needed, that is the university degree !!! thats a bit strange as well

Ur consultant is absolutely right, follow his instruction.

My boss has just received a call from CHC to inquire about his awareness about the fact that I had applied for Immigration.

Surprisingly, My online status is showing "received by Visa Office' may be it has not been formally updated.

Wht abt my previous employers?? I got fresh exp certificates frm them, they are goin to call them too ... or they have to call my present references only...
secondly, is it compulsary to have transcripts, as one of my colleague had sent notarized and another transcripts... both got their medicals.... transcripts need more than 20 days frm GNDU ??? ??? ???....

Hi Gauri

I am afraid that I don't have much idea about the thought process and way of working of Visa Officers, means they can call any where any time as per their wish, but usually they call at that employer office on the basis of which u applied for PR. For example in ur case they will probably call to your present office.

GNDU people will take around 1 week to issue transcripts(at least they issued the transcripts of my wife in just 5 days, request them regarding it), it is a very easy procedure. I think they charge rs. 150 for each attestation.

Rest is upon u, if u wanna give notarize copies then it is ur wish, CHC will consider it but it can increase ur processing time ( may be more than the time which is needed to collect the transcripts from university).

I have gathered so much information from our thread only… I am lucky to be among you all.. ;D

Can anyone answer same thing Gauri asked.. in regard to transcripts..

1. Asking universities to send the same would take time,,, it is ok if can be notarized? – (Gauri’s question)
2. I do not have birth certificate.. I am from Delhi. Can anyone guide how to get the same? Can a affidavit solve the
issue for it?
3. I have MCD birth certificate (IN Hindi) for my kids.. do I need to get it translated in English, get it notarized and send
along with doc to CHC?

I am not sure about the affidavit for DOB.
But as in case of your kids, the docs are in Hindi only, they definitely need translation.
In other cases like degrees and DMC's the same rule applies if these are in any regional language only then we need to get its transcripts else notarized are okay.. this is what my consultant said...

For ur first question , just read the last para of my answer in response to gauri's question ( given above in my 2nd last post)

For ur birth certificate, if ur birth is registered at ur local municipality then contact that office, they will issue u a certificate. On the other hand, if ur birth is not registered any where then give an affidavit and attach ur 10th certificate as proof of birth. The content of affidavit has been posted by me in other thread ( Punjabi thread) the link for the same is here:

For Birth certificates of ur kids formal translation in English by a notary public is required. Translation is must.

am collecting my docs for the complete application... i would like to submit my RPRF fees by credit card.. but what is the form need to be filled for this.. I dont see this fees option in IMM5620..

For declaring funds...Few questions

1)Funds in bank would not be an issue.. my pass book and letter from bank would be fine (Yes/No)
2)I saw some where in this blog few people who have applied for Federal Visa have also given "Gold Valuation report" from approved jewellery shop to declare their assests. is it ok (Yes/No)
3)How to show value of house??
4)How to show value of LIC's funds.. do they count?

Hi, please help me. I just want to ask. I and my common law partner has applied for FSW Permanent Residency. We have joint account, I included her in my personal account last december, 2009. We live in my own apartment (title under my name) for 2 and half years already. The electric bills are under my name and the telephone bill is under her name (common law partner). I have affidavit from a friend and a neighbor who testified that we are indeed common law partners. I also made an Affidavit for her mother to sign but her mother seems hesitant to sign it (maybe her mother does not want me to be her son-in-law). These are the only proofs that we have besides our pictures together and some letters. Is this sufficient proof already for the Visa Officer to be convinced with our relationship? Thanks. Pls seniors reply on this.
