I am a US citizen marrying a Canadian citizen in July. We plan to honeymoon in the Caribbean. If I drive up and cross over a land border, then fly out of the country for my honeymoon, then fly back in, will this be an issue? I am currently waiting on an approval on a Proof of Citizenship application but I doubt it will be awarded in July. If I have to leave when six months are up, I will do so.

Thanks!

No issues.

Just keep in mind that you have to prove to the CBSA officer that you will leave Canada once your stay is over. (A shorter visit can also be given, so keep that in mind).
