Flagpooling from Windsor/Detroit

Hello everyone,

I am staying in Windsor on dependent visa. I don’t have valid visa to US but want to do flag-polling in next couple of days .so that I can ask for open work permit.
Can someone help me with the details

1. Can I reach US border at Windsor asking for flag polling? If Yes do they maintain any refusal record which may impact me in future.
2. what documents are required for getting spousal open work permit.

please help me with the tips or some experience you had.

Do you mean you are on a TRV? How are you eligible to flagpole? Did you look up eligibility requirements to flagpole?

How long does your spouse have left on their permit? Have over 6 months is important. Do they have study permit or pGWP?

We landed in Canada in Aug2022 . Spouse is on closed work permit and other family members are on visitor visa

You don’t qualify for flagpoling in your situation because you aren’t from a visa exempt country and this is your first permit
