Hello guys, hope all of you are well.

I wanted to ask you something. My girlfriend has applied for a study permit online at MyCIC, she is from Taiwan and her country is visa exempt. My question is, can she come now to Canada, and if she gets the study permit approved go to the border and flagpole?

I understand that in any moment her passport will be required because her country is Visa Exempt, so there is no need to stamp any TRV on it, am I right?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Cheers,

Gus

Hello,

I am looking for an answer to the exact question you had earlier.

I also applied for a study permit in online at MyCIC, and I am hoping to enter Canada while the visa is still in process.

Were your able to enter Canada while study permit is on the process? and was she able to get the visa by flagpoling?

If you see this please let me know.

Thank you

Sounds like you guys can.

1. you enter Canada as a visitor
still need to purchase a round ticket whether you would use it or not.
I would not mention to CBSA that study permit is processing in home country: to avoid any complicated situation and as long as CBSA does not ask then you do not need to tell everything.

you can give simple reason : travel, visit bf/gf etc.
