Hi. I plan to flagpole at the Philipsburg/St. Armand border to obtain my post-graduate work permit (PGWP). I am trying to work out the logistics of travel. I plan to take a greyhound bus and get off at the US border, and once my paperwork there is done I need to make it back to the Canadian border, which is around half a kilometer away. Can I get there by foot? Looking at the area on Google Maps, I don't see where you can walk on/near the highway. If not, do I take a taxi and are they available near the US border office?
Also, my study permit and travel visa both expire on the 30th November. Is there a risk of being denied entry if I flagpole ~2-3 weeks prior to their expiration date?
