I have received a PGWP last year and is expiring in July. I've obtained a new passport and filed a PGWP extension mail application last January. No updates from IRCC so far.

The PGWP I had was cancelled due to an old forgotten CSE I sent back when I couldn't find my permit last year (it took IRCC over 3 months to get the CSE and cancel my current PGWP, issue a new reprint which ended up lost in the mail, was told you can't reprint a reprint).

Now I have a cancelled permit expiring in July, after months of back-and-forth communication with IRCC agents one finally told me to go through Replacement of Immigration Documents process. I am getting an important job offer and don't have a valid permit to accept it.

- Would I have much success obtaining either a new valid PGWP (valid for until July), or even better the extended one (I am entitled to 3 years, got less than 1 due to an expiring passport), if I go to a POE/land border crossing and flagpole?

- If I wait for my new Replacement of Immigration Documents application to process (mailed today with urgent notice on the envelope), will the CPC Ottawa issue my permit fast enough, any past experiences going through the same?
