I am currently applying for PR under PNP programme.
I was approved and got a work permit using the letter they sent me saying that i needed one...Instead of an LMO...

I left my job, they gave me a month to find a new job that would sponser me...
I did and the new place is going to do the paper work for me.

Story over...
When i get the new letter about needing a work permit, how do i go about "flag polling" to get my work permit quickly?

Thanks for any help given.

To get a work permit at the border, you need to be from a visa exempt country. If you are not, they will most likely refuse you. I have however heard of someone who was approved as he had a multiple entry visa. It may depend on the immigration officer if they know the rules themselves or if they are having a good day. If you are visa exempt, no problem.

You would take your paperwork and $150 to the border. Cross over to the US. If you have a US visa or are visa exempt to the US, you can enter the US if you want to. If not, you tell the US side that you have only come for Canada immigration purposes and wish to turn around and re-enter Canada. When you arrive back on the Canadian side, you do your work permit business.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!
