First time pr card applicant

My wife and I are willing to start new life in Canada, currently we life in USA where we are citizens and we saw on canadian visa website application for pr card but we would like to get more info how to start for people like us, should we start by just simply sending pr card application plus other documents they required or is there other additional steps we have to accomplished before even applying for card ?

You don't qualify to apply for a PR card at this time. Before you can apply for a PR card, you must first become permanent residents. There are a number of different ways you can become permanent residents and they are described in detail here:
