Greetings,

I am wondering if anyone can help me with information about the new rules set for skilled workers' applications; does the list of professions set by the auhorities include journalists? If so, how long would it normally take for an official answer (APPROVED/REJECTED) ? Is the age limit of 45 years applicable at the time an application is made or at the time a permit is granted?
I am looking for an answer URGENTLY please because I have to make a relevant decision very quickly.
Best regards

1. Well you should start your search at www.cic.gc.ca
2. No it doesn't include journalists http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2008/2008-11-28a.asp
3. There is no age limit, you start to lose points after 49.
4. So without work experience in Canada or an Approved Employment offer, you don't qualify.
