I'm trying to find someone to do my fingerprints for the FBI check - I'm American applying for PR, currently in Ontario. The regional police are no longer do prints for immigration. I'm googling and cannot find anyone to do it. I tried doing them myself and kept messing it up.

Any advice?

have you tried reaching out to a third party channeler? i'm sure they still will need your fingerprints, though they may be able to help you figure out how to get it done where you are. CIC is now accepting channeler reports for FBI records. also, where in ontario are you? ontario is quite large...

I'm not aware of any approved Channelers in Canada. You should contact your local Commissionaires office; they provide fingerprinting services.

Make sure you get the old fashioned Ink and Roll prints and placed onto the FBI FD-258 (or is it 285?) card.

Yup. That is where I went when I applied for PR long ago.

Thank you everyone for advice! I didn't get to use a channeler but I was able to find a professional to do the fingerprinting at a new by school! :)

For my prints in Ontario I went to a Commissionaires office. I had to set up an appointment (it didn't take long, just a couple days wait) and arrive with two pieces of ID (passport and birth certificate) and pay a printing fee. Now I am hoping the prints are good enough to not be rejected again as my two cards done by a California sheriff's office both were rejected.

Wow! That must be frustrating. I went to an investigations office that's attached to a school. They work with law enforcement, so I hope the FBI takes the prints.

Good luck!
