Finger Print and FBI check for US citz in Canada?

I still need to get my fingerprints and what not, no?
Does it cost a ton extra?

yes, you would still need fingerprints. i believe channelers range around $30-50, though i'm not entirely sure??? again, the fbi check thread may give you some better answers...

Nice, I found a list of them that someone had posted. I'll probably just get into contact with one of them and see what they suggest going about it.
I had seen in that older thread that people were waiting 2-3 months for their letter back. I'd rather pay more for a faster processing time so I have it in my hot little hand to submit and not be waiting on it.

yes, the reason for the channeler is to get the report quicker. as stated above, it takes 48 hours to a week to get it from a channeler compared to 12-16 weeks from the FBI. that is the reason people choose a channeler.

The Channeler is, in essence, a middleman that you use to bypass the 12-14 week wait to get the same letter directly from the FBI.

You need to have your fingerprints taken first and foremost, since the FBI or Channeler needs them to process your request. This is step one.

Yes...you send the fingerprint card, along with whatever paperwork the Channeler requires to their office in the U.S. (be sure to send it with a tracking number). Once the Channeler has processed the prints (usually within a week), the will send your mother (since she'll be receiving if for you apparently) the FBI letter. She then sends it to you...and you include it with your paperwork for CIC.
