The easiest way to find a part time job is to first convert you cv into canadian format most of us dont realize the importance of our cvs in terms of first impressions.

if you need help with cv you can consult the writting center or student support team in your colleges.

Second step is to walkin in to places and personally submit your application online application will lead you nowhere.

final step is to follow up keep going back to check in again and again. This procedure landed me a job in Scotia Bank. ;D

i just noticed, employers usually want Full time employees instead of part time, just a general question, what if you lied to them that you dont go to school anymore and can work full time? and during the month of september, leave the company. :o

Dude you are there on a Study permit. So you have to be enrolled in school. You should always be a full time student. Don't forget that :)

i went to the gas station convenient stores, they asked me if i have experience on handling cash register machines, i said no, they said we need those who have experience in these. >:(

also, i applied before on beer store online, so today i went to the store to ask for any position in the store, they said print out the application form and resume and hand it over. so i did, and went to 2 other beer stores, but these 2 other stores said its only online. >:(

Just a piece of advice. Move to Saskatchewan for the summer. You are legally entitled to work full time in summer and you'll get all the hours you want, including overtime. If you're staying in Ontario, the best jobs for students include pizza delivery and security. I've done both but for one you a need a car and a driver's licence and for the other you need a security licence and training. Don't forget to apply to malls near you, grab a bunch of resumes and visit them. Also, apply online to places like Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart etc. They have overnight positions too. Fast food is tough work to be honest and would be last on my list. But the odds at a fast food restaurant are the highest. McDonalds, KFC, Popeyes, Subways and similar places are hiring all the time so drop by with a resume. And to be honest, I would not want to work at a Desi restaurant or a Desi store unless I am completely broke and nothing else works.
