Ok I think I may have run into a huge problem. I posted in a seperate question about the fact that my husband and I live in Jamaica and are filing him to Canada from here. I am a born and raised Canadian till I moved here after my wedding.

I was reading the financial forms on the Canadian site..and it says to sponser two people over, your income has to be about 27,000 a year. This is Jamaica, we don't make that. Our business recently shut down, and the job economy is horrible. So working jobs you don't make alot.

It says your cosigner has to be your spouse.

Is there any way other family members can co-sign on the financial part??

Or are we completely out of luck?

You are exempt to financial requirements when you are sponsoring your spouse or dependent children so just put down whatever your income is and don't worry about it.

Your spouse can also not be a co-signer when it comes to sponsorship of himself. Co-signing is meant for if you and your spouse undertake sponsorship of his other relatives, parents for example. Then he would have to apply but you could co-sign if you want your income to count as well.
