Good morning to the forum. Finally and after almost 4 years I am in Canada and working with my wife.
I am a cook with one year lmia and my wife with open work permit. So to stay permanent to canada I will need for sure one more year lmia. I read that lmia gives only 50 points for express entry and canadian experience is not counting for cook . So what's the possibilities to apply for pr after one year.
Thank you and all

You can apply for PR now through Express Entry / Federal Skilled Worker. Yes - the LMIA will only give you 50 points. In addition to the LMIA, you will also need a letter from your employer confirming they are offering you a permanent job in Canada. You should start by calculating how many points you have under Express Entry. You want to have at least 450 points to have a good chance of being selected from the pool of applicants.

You won't qualify for Canadian Experience Class until you have worked in Canada for at least a year.

You can also look into the Provincial Nomination programs.
