Hello, I'm a self-employed filmmaker/photographer living in the U.S. and am looking to join my sweetheart in Alberta to see if the relationship might progress to the next level. However, not being a rich man, I would need to find a job, and maybe even some self-employed work.
1. With my filmmaking experience, am I considered a skilled worker after 7+ years but no degree/certificate?
2. With my NOC of 5100-5200, should I be looking for a PNP?
3. If on one of my weeks'-long visits, I search for a job by sending out resumes, is that illegal?
4. Lastly, do I need any documentation if I just drive across the border intending to stay for the 6-month limit? (Bank statements, letter from car finance company, etc.?)
Also, after reading so many, many posts... I just wanted to thank all those hero posters who seem so patient with so many of our questions. Thanks, Canadavisa.com-people! We really appreciate you.
