Hi
I was going though the CIC websites last week and noticed that some NOCs have reached the limit. Please check if your NOC is on that list.

Okk, so if the cap is reached, i mean that if 1000 vacancies are filled when will the new lot start?

I have also completed 10 months since I sent by complete docs to CHC , New Delhi. My only worry is as IELTS scores and police verifications are valid for one year only, CHC do not again request us to re submit new and up to date police clearances and IELTS scores once again as we are about to finish one year from the date of issue.

Does anyone is having any knowledge on this?

Hi,
Dont worry about that.
IELTS is valid for 1 year but its validity is not counted after you submitted it to CIC. It should be valid only before you submit it to CIC.
So no need to worry.
About Police Clearance, also I think so is the same. They could ask about new PCC only if its a very long time about 4-5 years. 1 year period does not matter. I think so.

Thanks fireworks and Imran, even if they ask for new PCC, the process for getting police clearance itself takes 20-30 days.

I sometime feel like withdrawing my application and concentrate here in my career. Because of my application only, I have not changed my job in past 1 year which has actually effected my growth here.

IELTS CERT VALIDITY IS 2 YEARS. CHK THIS.

EFFECTIVE December 23, 2010: If you are submitting a language test with your application, the results are now valid for 2 years from the time you took the test, instead of 1 year. This change applies to Federal skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class and Business Class Immigrants (investors, entrepreneurs and self-employed people).

Dont frustrate my friend,
it happens with everyone. Me 2 the same situation.
But now its not advisable to do anything silly.
Have patience and enjoy the festivals and life.
In canada, life would not be so easy.
Hopefully 2011 would be your final year in India.
Good Time.

Dont worry.
Once you gave IELTS and submitted to CIC your responsibility is over. Now whatever time they take, it wont get counted.
You are safe.
Have best time.
Cheers.

Its getting really frustrating now.
So many of our plans are in air because of this immigration thing.
I cannot invest in a home or other financial plans. I wanna buy a car, but it is on hold.
What the hell is CHC doing???
At least they should give us a tentative time when we get our visa???

Their are some things that I observed in the last few months that has changed with the way NDVO is processing application for Pre 26 June applicants:

1. In Process with dates is not a guarantee that medicals will come. People have been receiving letters for further documents, interviews, clarifications etc.

2. NDVO will probably issue medicals after completing background & security checks as compared to the earlier method of doing it simultaneously after issuing medicals.

3. For applicants who receive medicals now, the time period between Passport submission & Visa issuance will be much less.

4. All this could be because of the recent examples (few on the forum) we saw for applicants receiving rejections after medicals. So NDVO want to be sure henceforth to avoid such situations, they will complete all employer verifications etc. before issuing medicals.

5. They are definitely prioritizing applications as per NOC & category for all the pending pre 26 June applicants since they have a limited quota this year that has been reduced considerably.

6. They are getting very strict with processing applications as we have seen lately. Rejections are getting higher (this justifies pt. no. 5, since this is the only way to reduce backlog). If they were earlier working with 20% chance now they have probably reduced it to 5% chance for any sort of shortcoming in the application.

The above are purely my interpretations & observations.
