File transfered to local office VANCOUVER applied inland marriage sponsorship...

Hi everyone
I am wondering whats the processing time in local Vancouver office to process the case after transferred from Vegreville ? Please respond with your experience who already been through this process and who are also waiting .Applied in Feb.2012 they started processing in may 2012 and file transferred to local cic Vancouver without AIP... in Oct 2012.... Please share yours...Thanks

Ours applications were transferred at the same time. The local CIC office here is 4-6 months so it will likely be February or March before we hear anything. Not sure about Vancouver but if you call the CIC they will tell you what the processing times are for this office. Try to keep yourself busy. Going on this forum will help you to prepare yourself for any interview that may be required however it will also stress you out as there are people in this forum that have been waiting for several months to years to hear anything. Just remember that not everybody's case is the same and that transfers are done for many reasons. Oftentimes AIP is given several months after a transfer without an interview. It depends on what is needing clarification, what you have sent in to support your application, and what your current inland status is, if any.

We sent lots of lots of documents and before and after wedding pictures also medical what ever was necessary we sent with the application.

My file was transfer too and after 15 months they call me for interview and after the interview I got AIP my local office was calgary

thanks for sharing what was your timings mean when did you apply ? How long it took to get AIP in your case.. I hope I hear from my local office soon in vancouver...

I apply in august 2010 and they transfer my file in june 2011 , and after 15 months of waiting the call me for interview and the same day of interview i got my AIP

I am happy for you that you already got AIP and I pray for you that your second stage goes even better. Just wondering how was AIP interview and Have you applied OWP within your application or after AIP? I am waiting for my AIP approval so I can get an OWP!!!

To help you estimate the processing time in cic-vancouver, here is my timeline:

Dec 6, 2010 - received inland application by CIC-Vegreville
Nov 15, 2011 - transferred to CIC-Vancouver
March 08, 2012 - date of letter received about interview
April 03, 2012 - date of interview
April 10, 2012 - date of AIP letter
April 24, 2012 - date of OWP

AIP letter and OWP were received at the same time on 1st week of May.

We are waiting for 2nd stage approval as of this time as we have non-accompanied dependent.

Thanks for reply Looks like your interview after file transferred was about 4 1/2 months that mean I can count my interview by late feb or early march
