Folks any one sent email to NYVO checking on PPR, if I remember some of you are waiting more than 90 days. Hoping :'( to hear something good. Other VO are moving faster....

I am talking help of an attorney (immigration consultant) in Canada. I am asking them to send email.. but they is very reluctant for sending email to VO. As per that immigration consultancy firm 3-4 month after meds is very usual time for getting PPR from NYVO... they say most of their applicants receive after 3 months. If for some more time we don't hear from VO then we'll write, but for now we should wait...

Btw.. the NYVO processing time is increased by 3 more months. Its now 28 months. For applicants whose application is not more than 28 months, NYVO will not respond to query. Mine is 29th month going on.. but still these guys are asking me two wait for 2 more weeks... before they write....

Since I was frustrated waiting. One day I wanted to know how long its taking to get PPR after medical. I found the following results.
But now a day since 11 May 2012, I have not seen anyone getting PPR from NYVO.
Process has slowed down in general.

Evidently Kenney just orders CIC to do whatever he pleases and CIC obeys. No law , no order.
Ole days of King are back, only it wears a title of PM now.
He may order them to pick 1 out of 10 apps or he may order them to drink coffee, chat and do nothing after collecting RPRF fees (May be he has already decided to warehouse our files for 10 years and refund us in 2020 like they did with pre-2008 apps, who knows).

Good luck to all who paid RPRF and waits PPR from NYVO.
If I could get a full refund I would initiate the withdrawal of my app tomorrow.

So much invested in this for nothing......

I don't think we have a case for class action, however if any legal expert out there wants to challenge this ridiculous play with human lives in court I will join.

Are you referring to the decision of closing VOs or something else?

Hi,

I have a question about my application status and can someone take a look?

Here is my status in ecas:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 18, 2011.

We started processing your application on May 18, 2012.

Medical results have been received. (on April)

My file was transferred from buffalo to new york on April 12, 2012. And then I sent an email to them on May 15 asking for the status, they said my application is "still under process with an officer", and no further action is required. After 3 days, on May 18, ecas shows they started to process my file. On June 12, I sent email again, and this time they replied "Your file is in the process of being finalized. You will be receiving an e-mail shortly on finalizing your case."

My question is: do you think I'll receive PPR shortly (in one month), or the second email doesn't mean anything but just the same as the first email (means in process and I have to wait...)?

You are right...most of us got PPR quite fast around that time. I have also noticed PPRs have slowed down a bit. I am waiting for my friend's PPR and trying to estimate how many days it is taking now.

When was your friend's medical done? Has your friend paid RPRF already?
Is he/she in NYVO, because the process of issuing PPR is slowed down only in NYVO?
Seatle and LA are still issuing PPRs...

I am now working on going to NY in person for stamping. Let me know if anyone has any recent experience to NY for stamping visa.
