fees for immigration

Hi All,

While applying for immigration, is it necessary to pay the processing and landing fees for dependants up front itself? or is it possible for the principal applicant to pay his fees and land in Canada and then pay the fees for his dependants as and when they arrive? In either case if I mention my wife as a dependant while filing my application, will her PR also be processed alongwith mine or will it be processed seperately?
