Hi every one.
brief explanation:
my wife and i have known eachother less than two years, we dont live together. She lives in Canada myself in Mexico. We see eachother once a month. This said, our strongest form of evidence is our chat logs of whatsapp and facebook. however this turned out to be a lot of pages, from whatsapp it was 3000 and i cut it down to 400, facebook is 300 pages, we have a photo time line of 40 pages and about 30 other pages of evidence. Is that too much?

Waaaaay too much.

CIC has to make digital copies of everything that you submit. Imagine the profanity when someone opens up your giant crate filled with all that `proof'.

Focus on quality, rather than quantity. Don't forget to include some texts/emails that are not as lovey-dovey, because real couples sometimes argue!

If they need more proof, they will ask for it.

Ok, noted. So narrow down, any advice as to how many pages would be better?

Print off a selection of one or two conversations per month to cover the amount of time of the relationship.

Our relationship history sounds the same, 2-3 years long distance when we sent our application and we had so much chat/game logs as evidence. I had around 50-60 pages of them with the smallest font that is readable and printed both sides of the paper. I picked 2-3 random days for every month we were together and printed the entire day's worth of conversation. I personally thought it was overkill but better safe than sorry right? When I requested our gcms notes, the visa officer noted that they shredded the excess chat logs hahaha :)

I agree with Ponga! Focus on quality. If you relationship is genuine you do not need to prove that hard, pictures are there to make it concrete.

I would not go over 50 pages, which I already think is too much! But if you think you should send, summarize with highlights, I do not believe they will even read text conversation.

we submitted about 10 pages of evidence, mainly pictures and bills
good luck with your application!

I would cut down on the number of pages, as suggested above. Include a note that you are only including a sample of your communication via whatsapp and Facebook, and that if the visa officer wants to see more, you can send it.

The amount of such evidence depends on how much other evidence you have; the visa office you are going through; and how many red flags your relationship has. For example, a couple that has very little in common, with a short relationship, and going through a difficult visa office such as Accra, should send much more evidence than a typical couple going from an 'easy' country. Mexico is not a difficult visa office, IMO.

Also note that chat logs are considered "low priority" evidence. One good picture showing both of you together and having fun is worth more than hundreds of chat logs.

Ok thats good to know. So make a note on why iam sending a small quantity but could provide more if needed. I have reduced the number of whatsapp pages from 400 to 48, included random conversations and a few fights. From facebook i did the same thing ended with 52 pages, the thing with facebook is it has our call logs... should include more of that??

100 pages of chat logs (48 + 52) is enough. If anything, it is probably a bit too much.

My whole application was 148 pages only , that includes everything from CIC forms to chat logs , pictures , mail , proof of relationship , bear I mind I could provide 1000s of pages of chat and 100s of pictures etc .
I chose quality over quantity , so far no complaints from CIC .

I am reapplying for spousal sponsorship and have letters to and from my husband since 2010-2013 however Havana kept everything from 2013-2016 which was handed for extra proof at interview. So now having do a new application as we received a denial . We do not have internet as it is not available to my husband so no proof of chatting. We have phone bills from my phone to his. E-tranfers of money. Trips every few months to Cuba. Pictures taken in Cuba of us showing me doing his laundry, him making meals and me doing dishes. Pictures of wedding receipts and pictures of us on our Honeymoon. Real life LOL. We have been married since Sept 2013 and have known each other since 2010. Letters of support from My Mother who has met my husband as well as my sister and her husband both have met him as well and a friend who knows me but has not met my husband. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try contacting the visa office and asking them to give you back the proof that your husband gave them at the interview. It might work.
