Hi all,

I am a single male (not married, no kids) planing to sponsor both of my parents in 2015. When viewing the forms need to be filled I am confused by the fee payment.
Here is the form link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5770E.PDF

From my understanding, I am both the sponsor and the principal applicant. I do not have spouse or common-law or child, so the total payment is $75+$475=$550.
Now comes my question: Is $550 the application payment for BOTH of my parents or EACH of them? i.e. If I am going to sponsor both of my parents, should I pay $550 or $1100?

Thanks

Hi

You are not the Principal Applicant. You must choose one of your parents to be the Principal Applicant and the other will be their dependent.

To be paid prior to submitting app:

Sponsorship application $75
Principal applicant $475
Spouse of the PA $550

To be paid when requested by CIC:

Principal Applicant RPRF $490
Dependent Spouse RPRF $490
