Dear seniors

I am student entering Canada this month.
Would you recommend that we bring travellers checks or dollars and deposit it into Scotia Bank student account ( which will be created by them connected to my GIC)
Or
Would you suggest we wire transfer fees directly to university via paymytuition or their own site.

Pls advise .. supporting with a brief explanation.

Does your college not ask to pay atleast 1 semester's fees in advance?

Doesn't really matter, do whats most convenient for you, but be sure to declare of you bring in more than CAD 10,000 on you via cash, travelers check etc.
You dont need to declare bank transfers so thats nice and probably safer than cash.
