Feds hint at scaling back immigration due to pandemic fallout

It was on the news that starting this coming fall the fed gov will most likely cut immigration intakes to Canada. Does anyone know or can take a guess if this will impact the family class program? Also, in the case that it does impact some of us, will the application be set aside once the ministry hits its immigration limits for the year?

This was predictable. It won’t change spouse/children immigration.

Hopefully they’ll look at the PGP in conjunction with provincial input . The FederalGovernment can’t continuously bring into older individuals into the Provinces, people who will eventually need long term care, when no money is invested in the infrastructure to care for the ones currently here, as we can so clearly see from what happened during Covid 19
What did the Feds think ? The system would magically be able to absorb everyone ?
