I was wondering if there were any Federal Entrepreneur applicants out there that can give an update on their application.... especially anyone who has recently had their application processed... just to give the rest of us an idea of how long their application took to process.

I applied in Sept 2007 and submitted all of the requested documents in August 2012... since that date I have not hear anything from CIC and my GCMS Notes have shown no activity since August 2012. My B/F date still shows June 2012.

Lets keep each other updated!!

Crystal ball is cloudy today, give us a hint as to the office processing your application: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/entrepreneur-fed.asp

LOL....
My visa office is listed in my profile.... Port of Spain Trinidad.

CIC's website does not show any processing times for this class in POS because they are not processing enough applications. According to Open Data reports they only finalized 2 cases last year.

I think it is criminal the way CIC treat visa applicants, you have to pay up front then you are made to wait and wait and wait. You have to put your life on partial hold and at the end of the wait there is no guarantee that you will successfully obtain a visa. If a business was operating like that it most likely go out of business or get sued.

I do not think Port of Spain is overwhelmed with visa applications, unlike London visa office, so how can they justify the processing times? You would think they would be able to process more than two application in a year!
I think it is a deliberate policy of delaying Entrepreneur applications, so applicants are forced to withdraw their applications due to the long waits.

Yes, if you go to Open Data http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/427337d0-7c36-4fed-8428-c6a63f8c19b3 Change to the Point of Service to POS, you will see that there 16 entrepreneur applications processed. 8 approved. The processing time is in months

Thanks PMM... That figure represents the number of persons (visas) processed so it was in fact only 4 cases (each case may have more than one person such as spouses and dependents etc). However by using that I can at least see the processing times on those applications. When I checked that report before I used cases instead of persons so I was not getting any processing times. Your help and guidance is always constructive and greatly appreciated.

Lubs64, the processing times are indeed ridiculous but my problem has always been with the lack of information.. I cannot understand why CIC cannot have a simple system that posts the application dates currently being processed... i.e. I look up Fed Entr and it simply says "currently processing applications received Jan 2008"... from that small piece of information an applicant can have a better idea of how long he may have to wait and can go about his day to day life with that in mind.

Being an optimist, I am already 72 months into my process so if the times posted by PMM are in fact correct then it shouldn't be more than another year or two

Just to update everyone, I received an email from CIC on Wednesday requesting medicals for my family and I.

What has me confused however is they have requested all of the forms and documents that was requested and submitted in 2012???? I understand the need for updated police clearance and available funds to settle, but I cannot understand requesting all of my business and taxation documents which were submitted just August last year.

I am not sure if this was an error on their part so I have written them asking for clarification and await their response.

They're asking about your docs for your business between 2012 and now. Wait for the answer though to be 100% sure.

Understood, but then why all of the application forms as well... backgrounder information, family information etc... every form that we submitted before they are asking for again.

Well, I think they will explain in the reply. Things change in people's lives even during 1 year
Good luck

Hi everyone! Since I've joined this forum and reading most investor applicants post, I think procedures varie. For my case, in last 1 month I submitted updated documents for three times, everytime I was asked for different documents to submit.Nobody can say what's next! Lets hope for the best for all of us.
Thanks.

Of even greater concern, they asked for evidence of net worth even though that was submitted last year as well, and the problem is that this includes a valuation on my home which costs between US$1,500 - US$2,000. Seems like a complete waste to me after just one year!

Of course CIC has not replied as yet so I am preparing all of the other documents in the interim.

PMM, I will appreciate if you can lend your wisdom on this one?

Hi Sckel, I am glad that you have finally heard something from CIC . Can you not get a ' cover letter' to add to the original valuation/survey from the people who valued your house, rather than getting a full valuation/survey again? Have CIC given you a time limit to send the documents which they have requested?

That actually is an excellent idea about the cover letter Lubs64...

They gave us 60 days to submit the documents and have the medicals done. We have our meds appointment set already for Dec 16th. At this stage I was giving CIC until next week to see if they respond and if not will start to prepare the stack of documents all over again.. I obviously have copies of the last set so it really is just a matter of re-inputting the data and adding the info for 2012.. very annoying but what can we do.

Hope you hear something soon as well.

Just received email from CIC saying "we are in the final stage of processing your application and will issue final instructions shortly".

I did medicals in mid Dec 2013 and submitted RPRF with documents on Dec 31st 2013.

Is this just an acknowledgement that they received the meds and docs? I actually thought the next thing that I would hear from them would be requesting passports.
